Why does my Seagate freeagent pro 320GB Hard drive show only 298GB free? - seagate freeagent software
The title says it all. Brand New & remove all the useless crap like the Free Agent software manuals and I do not think it necessary. And it was paid much less than the 320 I.

Dear user,
This problem is worldwide and is due to differing interpretations in the operating system and disk manager, from the respective companies. When Seagate brand DiskManager point exactly 320 GB and the MS Windows operating system are those who have written you, but do not worry is 320 GB in real mode. Let me give an example, an 80 GB Seagate hard drive listed as 74.5 GB in Windows XP and it is shown that 80 GB Seagate Disk Manager! Thanks
Is it a disk that came with your computer or your hard disk you bought? To answer the question if it came with the computer, sometimes when you have a device that will take place approximately 20 GB for backup to disk, and sometimes not always so, if you purchase a flash drive, 512 MB, 486MB, a whole would.
If you drive yourself then perhaps you should reformat to make sure you can use the disk that you have lost not win, you are also examined to ensure that you may not have all the files that are hidden there.
